My therapeutic approach integrates relational, experiential, and psychodynamic methods to create a foundation of healing through the client-therapist relationship. This relationship is essential for fostering trust and safety, allowing us to bring your unconscious processes to light. By understanding the underlying motivations driving your behaviors and emotions, we gain valuable insights into what has shaped your experiences—in order to access mental and emotional healing and growth.

In our sessions, we will invite (and practice) having a natural curiosity about your inner world. Together, we will explore the learnings and “knowings” you developed within your family system as you were growing up. This exploration can help illuminate how these past experiences may influence your present life and relationships.

As a certified Brainspotting Practitioner, I incorporate this progressive technique into our work, enabling you to reconnect with your body and regulate your nervous system. This method is designed to facilitate deep healing, allowing us to access and process emotions in a way that promotes lasting change.

I believe that laughter and creativity can also play a vital role in therapy. By weaving humor and metaphor into our sessions, we can ensure that the process feels organic while at the same time prioritizing your goals and having clarity on what you want to achieve. Before meeting with Sasha, you will need to have a brief phone conversation with her regarding your needs and desires for therapy. A free, 15 minute phone consultation that can be scheduled via this contact form.

A phone consultation ensures that both client and therapist can assess for a “goodness of fit” to start the therapeutic process . Sasha will take time to share about how she works and supports her clients in therapy, and you may share where your current struggles or needs are. Sometimes, Sasha determines that she may need to provide a referral to better support you, and won’t leave you hanging without one.

During the first meeting together, you and Sasha will discuss your goals for therapy and what you hope to experience as you work together.
